Peyser has more than 25 years of experience serving as a trusted strategic business advisor to health care industry CEOs, executive management, and boards of directors to aggressively drive vision, mission, strategy, and profitability. As both a consultant and management executive, he has a unique background with expertise in business, financial, operational, and marketing strategies to facilitate transformational change management, competitive positioning, and profitability.
His prior experience includes consulting leadership roles at:
- FTI Healthcare, where he led the national health care strategy practice, successfully developed service line
strategy and business plans, recruited several high-performing consultants in support of service enhancement and growth, led practice-wide thought leadership with a focus on industry transformation post health care reform, and bridged financially distressed health care organizations from turnaround to long-term sustainability.
- Navigant Consulting (formerly Tiber Group), where he served as senior executive and partner of a health care consulting practice nationally recognized for its industry leadership and characterized by rapid growth in size and stature; outlined methods to uncover the true challenges health care companies face; and developed strategies to achieve market and competitive differentiation, access to capital, business process synergies, high-caliber people, advanced information technology, and better access and service to the community.
- Ernst and Young, where he was a senior manager in its health care financial services practice assisting clients to validate investments in facility expansion and new service offerings, served as a strategist for the health care practice, and provided key hospital and health system clients with analytics and communication tools for measuring their profitability.
In addition, Peyser has served as a clinic manager and practitioner across the health services, medical school, research, and government sectors.
He holds an MBA from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and also holds an M.A. in audiology and a B.S. in speech, both from Northwestern University.
Peyser is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives; Kellogg Health Enterprise Management Group; American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development; and Forum for Healthcare Strategists. He has been a featured author and presenter in multiple health care forums.
